Mission: The emerald coast childrens advocacy center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency that, along with our partner agencies, provides services in okaloosa and walton counties which prevent child abuse, reduce the trauma of sexual and physical abuse, protect and treat child abuse victims and their families while holding offenders accountable, restore the lives and futures of abused, neglected and drug endangered children & their families.
Programs: The center provided direct services to 687 child victims of physical and sexual abuse in okaloosa and walton counties last year. Direct services include crisis intervention, mental health counseling, providing for needs of children (clothes, food), and case management. All services are provided free of charge to the recipients. Also, the center houses the various governmental agencies that interact with the victims of abuse. All of this is provided in a child-friendly environment thereby reducing the trauma associated with the investigative process a child may experience and insuring that proper treatment is provided as early as possible.
