Mission: Elmira's provides continuing care and enrichment for exotic and wild animals in need of a forever home. We are also committed to helping to end the problem of captive wildlife and breeding in the United States.
Results: Elmira's currently cares for 10 tigers, 4 bears, 7 lemurs, 2 leopards, 10 tropical birds, 2 coatimundis, 4 wolves, a serval, a bobcat and sugar gliders. We have had 6 Veterinary/Zoology college interns and 4 high school veterinary assisting students work with us. We are active members of the Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance - a group dedicated to providing proper care to big cats in captivity as well as campaigning to end captive breeding and public handling.
