I have known Laurie since Elementary School she is wonderful caring person whose sole mission in life is to help children with a recurrence of cancer. Laurie works very hard to bring smiles to children's faces all over the world with her missionary work and her foundation. I cannot think of a more deserving foundation.
The battle with cancer is so tough! The battle with a recurring cancer is even tougher! Yet so few charities step in to brighten the day for children with recurring cancers! I know of this organization as my son was fighting his brain cancer in the hospital room next to Lauren Richmond's. To Lauren it was important that he maintained hope! Lauren's family now carries her wish and legacy via The Elle Foundation! I have firsthand witnessed the joy the Elle Foundation brings to terminally sick children when they need it the most! They primarily grant second wishes to terminally ill children, however, they are able to do so much more because they are a grass-roots organization with a human element. They extended their love and support to orphaned children in Vietnam, giving them experiences they will remember for a lifetime. These children were not sick, some had disabilities, but the point was that every child deserves a little magic in their lives despite their circumstances.

I can't even begin to describe how much this foundation has touched the lives of not only the children who have been affected by cancer but their families as well. The richmond family have gone above and beyond with every single child to try and grant their wish. I have never seen so much dedication, love or strength come from one foundation. The Elle foundation truly is a gem and the Richmond family as well as the foundation itself should definitely be recognized for all it's hard work and accomplishments. Not a day goes by that I don't think of their daughter Lauren and how much we miss her but it fills my heart with such hope and joy to know that her family and friends have stopped at nothing to grant these kids their wishes and that they have made a permanent mark on this earth showing the world that we can/will make these kids dreams come true no matter what the circumstance. We have been lucky enough to host events in memory of Lauren. The Richmond family is incredible to work with and are such genuine people who are truly out to help grant last wishes for children in memory of their daughter. Such an amazing cause and we are proud to be a part of it.

My daughter has terminal brain cancer and the Elle foundation sent her to California to help fill her bucket list when no one else would help cause she has a wish to Disney when she was eight. They went above and beyond our expectations. They are so personal and I love that about them your not just a number your a cancer family that they care about.

The Elle Foundation grants final wishes for children battling cancer. I met the founders of the The Elle Foundation through my daughters dancing school. Before their daughter Lauren passed, she asked her parents to continue her dream of helping other children have a chance to forget their cancer and make memories with the family and to this day that is what they do. I've been lucky enough to have volunteered at several fundraisers to help this great cause and I always try to spread the word to get their name out there. The Richmonds are an amazing family and are doing great things in their daughters memory.

This non-profit foundation is extremely important to me on a personal level. I was blessed to be a part of Lauren's life, as she was my niece. Her final wish was to grant children with cancer their wishes! Lauren was an inspirational, remarkable, selfless, and brave girl!
