Mission: The Richardson Center was established to meet the needs of children and adults with disabilities in Northwest Arkansas. What began with a classroom of four students in 1963 has grown to an organization with 9 separate facilities providing a variety of services and opportunities to over 500 infants, children, and adults every year.
Results: We currently operate four Child Developmental Centers throughout Northwest Arkansas for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age who have been diagnosed with developmental delays or disabilities. For adults, we offer community employment, residential options, job and life skills training, recreational opportunities and community involvement.
Target demographics: Children 6 weeks to 5 years of age, high school students and adults with developmental disabilities.
Direct beneficiaries per year: We serve over 500 children and adults each year in our nine locations.
Geographic areas served: Benton, Washington and Madison counties in Northwest Arkansas
Programs: Provide services to developmentally disabled and multi-handicapped individuals in northwest arkansas.
