I have been working with ECA for over 3 years now. I initially got involved as a consultant and advisor for low income residential solar energy applications, involving solar electric and solar thermal systems. The folks at ECA were mindfull of the increasing cost of energy in their community, and were seeking ways to lessen the economic burden on those with limited income means. My role grew into a designer and installer of these systems for ECA. To date we have installed a total of 13 systems. These long lived, no maintanence systems have greatly reduced the monthly energy costs for the recipients.
Resources in small communities, especially in unincorporated areas, are very limited. However this fact only amplifies the amazing level of service being provided to the citizens of Elfrida and nearby communities as a result of the efforts of the Elfrida Citizen Alliance (ECA). The ECA is run like a business with superior customer service. The programs, content of meetings and special events sposored and promoted by ECA rival those of any incorporated city in our state. ECA is helpful, professional and integrated into not only the community but also regionally. It is a pleasure to provide a positive rating for such an outstanding organization.
The folks here genuinely care about their community and are constantly looking for ways to offer support, from saving costs on energy bills to making copies for clients. They have campaigned to install solar water heaters throughout the community and are always looking for ways to support needed community development. Their committment and devotion to the citizens in their community is a model we could all learn from.
I've know about the Elfrida Citizen Alliance for many years and the good works they do for the all the people & community of Sulpher Springs Valley. The ECA has a team of highly skilled & qualified professional personnel who seek out innovative ways to help business and individuals through a variety of programs.
I was very impressed with everything I heard about a wonderful campaign called "Paint the Town". What a great idea to promote community development through community action! This, of course, is in addition to the other works that are done to promote Green Living and the use of affordable renewable energy resources.
As a former Non-Profit Employee of the Girl Scouts and a Supporter of a Social & Ecconomic Services that benefit the betterment of all peoples. I can definatelty say that the ECA is a Model of Excellence!
