Programs: Elephants of africa rescue society provides a sanctuary for four african elephants. Providing twenty-four hour hands-on care, ears offers elephants a highlt desirable way to spend their lives. We exercise the elephants in a large playpen planted with gras for grazing and a pool for swimming. We walk them to undeveloped areas of the property to forage on tress. We fed 1,500 pounds of hay and 60 pounds of grain and we clean 2,500 pounds of manure every day. All by-products are donated back to the farming community, which brings our program full circle. Ears receives praise from local children's groups and retirement groups for its educational and outreach programs. Educating the public about the animals and challenges they face in captivity and the wild is the key to their survival.
