Mission: To be an advocate for the elderly and their caregivers and provide services that build capacity, maximize independence, and enrich the quality of life for the elderly in north central florida.
Programs: Elder care, designated as the lead agency provider for alachua county by the department of elder affairs, provides home and community based services including transportation, homemaking, personal care, emergency alert, congregate and home delivered meals, nutrition education, respite for caregivers, and case management. Adults with visual impairments are served through the independence with low vision program. Services for adults with alzheimer's disease or severe memory impairments are provided through the adult day care center known as alz place.
