We would like to thank Cindy and Jim for creating and operating the El Dorado County German Shepherd Rescue. The amount of time and work they put in is never-ending. They are two of the most caring and compassionate people that we’ve ever met.
We were thrilled that we were able to adopt Reyna and Cruise into our family. These two dogs were made for each other and are so happy to be in their forever home together. Reyna and Cruise are sweet, loving, a little goofy and extremely smart. When we adopted them they both had all their shots, heart worm test, and were micro-chipped.
Everything the rescue does is in the best interest of the dog’s right down to what they feed them and what supplements are best. These two dogs are in extremely good physical condition and very healthy. They are both well trained. We were pleasantly surprised at how many commands they both knew and how well they walked on leash. It makes it easy to continue their training since they have a solid foundation.
Cindy is very knowledgeable about the breed and trains with the dogs regularly. She is always willing to answer any of my questions.
If you are looking for a GSD, we would strongly recommend that you go their website and look at the dogs they have available. EDCGSR is definitely one of the best rescues that I have ever adopted from.
I first meant the wonderful people at El Dorado German Shepherd Rescue December 2017 when I adopted my Bella, we couldn’t be more happy with this beautiful girl, her foster parents were fabulous in helping with the transition into our home and family, we then decided to adopt a buddy for Bella. I received all the help and understanding I could possibly get from the owner Cindy and Bella’s foster parent Ray, Ray helped me pick the perfect buddy for Bella and us. We adopted Butte, our big goofy guy, we are all very happy together, it’s been a great experience, you couldn’t ask for more caring, loving and unselfish people. The owners, foster parents and the many volunteers at El Dorado German Shepherd Rescue work so hard to save as many dogs as possible, to give them the loving home they deserve, I am grateful to them all.
Awesome German Shepherds! I adopted my precious Misty Rain from them and it was Love at first sight for my Family and my other dog Thor. She quickly became one of my all time favorite dogs. Misty Rain came spayed, had all her shots and vaccinations, was micro chipped, and was tested heart worm negative. I can't say enough great things about the owners Jim and Cindy. Cindy is an experienced trainer working with German Shepherds for more than 20 years and can support you with any challenges you may have integrating your new dog into your family. If you want a quality German Shepherd this is the place to adopt!!!
