Mission: For Youth to: Have a successful and healthy transition from adolescence to adulthood, Be fully prepared with attitude, skills, knowledge and experience, Have ample opportunities for participation and decision-making, Be safe, healthy and free from drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
Results: In collaboration with Sheriff's Office, EDCVC was able to reduce teen drinking and driving in El Dorado Hills. Support 15 youth-led organizations in order to bring leadership, volunteer and mentorship opportunities to youth. Open 2 "Prescription Drug Take-Back Bins" in El Dorado County.

Geographic areas served: El Dorado County and the Greater Sacramento Area
Programs: - Drug-Free Community (DFC) for the city of Placerville year 2015-2020. Funded by Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Previously held the El Dorado Hills DFC grant for ten years. -Primary Intervention Program (PIP). A mental health wellness program geared towards children grades 0-3. Trained Mental Health Professionals develop school-specific programs and activities that target trauma, bullying, and self-esteem building. -Nonprofit Capacity Building Initiative. A program focused on helping other local nonprofit organizations improve and strengthen the governance and administration of grassroots nonprofits, including faith-based organizations, and to strengthen community leadership and neighborhood empowerment in under-served and under-funded community of El Dorado County and surrounding areas.
