El Campito is a phenomenal bilingual school and is vital part of the community in which it serves. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of their student’s environment is safe, developmentally appropriate and engaging.
The staff at El Campito is respectful of individual differences, including: learning styles; cultural differences; points of view; and individual preferences.
The school has recently moved into a new building and the first thing you notice is how clean, bright and inviting the space is. Each child care room has huge windows letting in so much natural light for the kids. There are plenty of appropriate decorations and learning aids throughout each room. They place a high priority on quality student nutrition in the meals that are served.
Finally, the leadership has created a positive culture not only within the school setting but also with staff and families. The directors set high standards for family and community outreach. They also ensure that all staff receive appropriately training annually and are continuously furthering their knowledge base.
El Campito is A top notch community non profit. The staff and leadership are fantastic. And the new building they are in shows their dedication to the community and children. I’ve volunteered and donated here for eight years. I’ve never been disappointed and I’ve been very pleased with their progress upward through the years.
El Campito has some of the most dedicated people I have ever worked with. The Directors are servant leaders, and the teachers go above and beyond.
El Campito is a vital component to this community. They offer quality childcare with amazing learning experiences for children and parents. My 3 children attended El Campito and El Campito left a long lasting impact on my family not only my children but on me as a mom as well. I felt at home there and could freely share my ups and downs as every parent has. They became family, they became my village.
El Campito is full of caring staff! They always give 1000% to the children and love for their work is abundant and on display.
I did a training with staff on how to help parents who use tobacco connect with resources to quit or at least, to protect their kids from second/thirdhand smoke. Staff was engaged and I believe they’ll be able to help to make healthier families possible! Great location, great staff!

El Campito has been serving South Bend’s families for over 50 years. I have seen first hand the love the workers pour into the children. They work so hard to make sure that each child receives quality care and education all while having fun! I am proud to volunteer serving El Campito as they serve our community.

This place is amazing! I’ve been donating and volunteering here for years. I love that it’s bilingual, the teachers and staff are knowledgeable friendly and helpful, they have Naeyc accreditation, they are helping shape young minds of the future from one year old to school age children, parents can rest assured their children are taken care of while they are at work, I’ve seen very few places that have the dedication and hearts of love that this non profit has!
This facility is very clean and consistent on their curriculum. They go far and above to meet every child’s needs I would recommend this daycare above all else.
I have spent much time at El Campito over the past eight years, with no plans to stop! The quality of care is so obvious here, between the effort the teachers put in, to the joy and knowledge the children and families get out of it. And, since they're bilingual, they can serve those that may not have access to high-quality child care normally. My family and I love El Campito!!
