Mission: Provide scholarships to high school graduates from gwinnett county, georgia who have matriculated to college. 38 students received scholarships during fiscal year 2011.
Programs: Provide annual scholarships to seniors (one from each high school in gwinnett county). A screening committee will determine that applicants have met the qualifying criteria, and forward their selections to the board of directors for final selection. The first scholarships were awarded in may 1999. Scholarship applicants must have a minimum gpa of 3. 0 and a minimum sat of 1000 or act of 20. Strong consideration is given to financial need as well as extra curricular activities, community service, and part time job records. The applicant must receive a nomination and letter of recommendation from an official school representative. The applicant must write a letter to eimb scholarship fund stating why they should be selected for the award. Lastly, the applicant must be a senior at a high school in gwinnett co. Georgia. Consideration given to relatives of a director is made without the input of that director.
