Mission: Historial preservation of the artifacts of the eighth maine regiment
Programs: The memory of the eighth maine regiment is preserved as the association holds, manages, and perpetuates the real and personal property of the regiment as a memorial. The association maintains the 1891 memorial hall: providing museum tours to the public, hosting public events which publicizes our history(including events centered on the 150th anniversary of the civil war), and providing guest accomodations in the living history lodge. The association maintains a museum where the eighth maine regiment is interpreted with photos, artifacts and written history and accounts.
