Mission: The eight mile boulevard association (8mba) revitalizes and promotes the eight mile transportation, business, and residential corridor (between i-94 and i-275) by linking the efforts of the public and private sectors.
Programs: Special projects: this program focuses on the maintenance of the eight mile medians and includes maintenance of community identification signs, coordination of mowing services, and provisions for a suite of services (promotion, planning, project management and resource attraction) for various real estate, public transportation, and infrastructure developments.

Activities include a monthly e-newsletter, advocacy and promoting on behalf of members, and a facade improvement program that offers design assistance and construction grants for renovations to commercial property on eight mile (supporting 24 projects totaling over $2 million in private investment since 2008).
neighborhood task force: neighborhood task force provides support to neighborhood groups along the corridor for community cleanups, organizing and more. This year, eight mile boulevard association brought more than 300 volunteers together for community cleanups that included the restoration of two parks and one community garden in detroit; maintaining 36 perennial gardens in the eight mile medians; and removing approx. 3 tons of litter and debris from sites across eight mile road.
