Eastwick Foundation

For many years the Eastwick Foundation has been very generous to the community, especially with their Feed the Hungry program. They also matched my donation. I will certainly donate again.

In addition to Eastwick College and The Eastwick Foundation being committed to assisting and supporting students on their educational journey, The Eastwick Foundation is also helping serve the community in various ways; one being The Feed the Hungry campaign. I’m proud to support the foundation over the years and I want to set the right example for my daughter by helping those that are less fortunate than us. I am so pleased and impressed that The Eastwick Foundation assists our communities in such practical and meaningful ways. In the end helping one is helping all!

For several years, I have had the distinct pleasure of working on Eastwick College's Feed the Hungry campaign. As many of you know, we have contributed over $165,000 to this terrific cause that assists eight different food banks in the northern New Jersey region.

Mr. Thomas Eastwick has continued to show his generosity as he always matches all of the monies we collect through fundraising appeals and events. Vendors and suppliers of Eastwick Education have given generously throughout the years and we can now count them among our closest friends! Thank you to all who have given so willingly and with such open hearts!!!

Personally, I've had experience with food insecurity and I know how important it is for people of all ages to have food on their table. I hope that you will all continue to support our Feed the Hungry campaign. On behalf of Mr. Eastwick and Eastwick Education, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

What I like most about this foundation is the strong partnership formed with students and staff at Eastwick College. These individuals are very involved in the Foundation mission, with active fundraising and hands-on support. The Foundation's mission appeals to many, both donors and volunteers alike, by supporting local needs, scholarships for deserving students and also an international focus, with their Jamaica project to assist low income families with tuition assistance and school supplies. Students learn firsthand the importance of giving back to their community ... what an excellent message to instill in our young adults. Keep up the great work!

I knew of Eastwick College from living in the community, and worked with their Career Development office when I was looking for that special employee. It was only after attending a MRCC annual luncheon that I learned of the Foundation. When the call came out from the podium asking for help for families in need, and that Tom Eastwick was offering to match what was raised, my hand went right up. It was a bold offer to make in front of a filled ballroom, and I wanted to be part of the positive energy! Ramsey is very fortunate to have Eastwick in our midst.

I learned of the Eastwick Foundation when my company joined the Mahwah Chamber of Commerce. At the MRCC luncheon the incredible work of the Eastwick Foundation. I was stunned and appalled to learn that in our immediate area people were going hungry and did not have enough money for food. I was compelled to make a donation at that event.

Since then, I met with Jeanne Patrican the Executive Director of the Foundation. It was wonderful to learn how passionate and dedicated she and her staff are to the Foundation's undertakings. Bravo to the Eastwick Foundation !!!

Today, if a person is fortunate enough to attend a college or university, many graduate carrying enormous debt loads. Alternative professional aspirations, and where to hone them, are a very welcome alternative – for them as well as for those who are not university candidates. The Eastwick Schools offer such alternatives. As many of their former students can attest, they are by far the leader in this field in our area.

I have known Tom for over 20 years and during that time he has been both a good friend and mentor. I am excited to make a personal donation to the Eastwick Foundation and know that the money will be put to good work by either helping local students attend Eastwick College or Ju Ju Tours "Good Ju Ju Charity Project." As someone who has worked in the career school industry for over 20 years, I know what a positive difference many of these schools can make. The charitable work of the Eastwick Foundation is the epitome of what organizations can do to support a community. For several years now, my company has helped students earn extra expense money by facilitating textbook buy-back events. At the conclusion of each textbook buy-back event, I personally donate what I can to the foundation. I believe in the cause and have seen first hand what it can do. Bless this wonderful foundation.

Everyone feels generous during the Holidays, it is the time for giving! Over the past three years the Eastwick Foundation has donated a total of $85,000 at the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Luncheons. Lucky recipients have been member food banks struggling to feed residents in Bergen and Rockland County. Eastwick students at all three Eastwick campuses and at the HoHoKus Trade School pitch in. Students hold fundraising lunches, vendors send donations and the staff donates as well. Tom Eastwick then personally matches the amount. The results are staggering, the purpose is amazing, and many families enjoyed a great holiday meal thanks to the Eastwick Foundation!

I have known the Eastwick Foundation staff for quite a number of years, and will say that the philanthropic culture of this organization is second to none. From inception, they seek out challenges faced by their students and community based organizations and help to fill the voids that will help them overcome those challenges. Tom Eastwick's way of rallying others to support important causes is profoundly moving and commendable. The scope of assistance they offer is vast and flexible. Eastwick Foundation is truly a gift to our community, both locally and abroad.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon in Negril back in 2012, and we were greeted with open arms by Angi and JuJu Tours. Through our wonderful experience with JuJu Tours, we were able to interact with the children at Broughton Remnant Basic School. It was a truly humbling experience to witness the joy of the children there, and we've been proud to support the Good JuJu Project and Eastwick Foundation since.
It was great to hear about the recent field trip to the Bird Sanctuary, and we look forward to hearing future updates about the students and school.

Since its inception, the Eastwick Foundation has been financially assisting Eastwick college students and local charities. Distributions to enrolled students have been used for tuition, transportation and personal hardship needs thus allowing them to continue to pursue their education. Recently the Foundation has provided book scholarships to incoming freshman to assist them in achieving their educational goals.

The Eastwick Foundations' Good JuJu Project raises awareness of educational needs, and provides research-based educational services for children in Jamaica. Angela, the founder and current director of the project, also owns and operates JuJu tours.

Angela manages to combine tons of fun on tours, while at the same time acquainting vacationers with the lives and school routines of children. Along the route of the tour, we played in a volley-ball tournament, visited a mineral springs, toured art murals, and had a healthy, five-star lunch.

The memory that stayed with us after the vacation was learning about Angela's work with the schools. She had us at " Do you want to hear about some cute kids?"

Since 2013, we've had contact with the professionals servicing the educational needs of children in varying situations. Through letters, pictures and stories , we've been transported beyond " writing a check for charity, " to hearing of how our contribution ensued every single student went on that field trip to the Bird Sanctuary.

Interestingly, and unlike any other of the foundations to which I've donated, The JuJu Project encourages and listens to my ideas. Having an education background , I'm expected to ask questions. Feedback about the JuJu Project, to the umbrella Eastwick Foundation, is valued and used in planning next steps.

As Director of Progressive Foot Care's Annual Holiday Shoe Drive for the Homeless, it was a pleasure to work with the Eastwick Foundation and the Eastwick School recently. Their staff was very helpful and instrumental in facilitating the collection of many pairs of footwear to benefit the less fortunate. This helped us to provide shoes to those in need and provide protection for their feet, especially in the cold weather months. It was a great experience working with the Eastwick Foundation.

As Corporate Director of Library Services at Eastwick College, I interact with students on a daily basis. Over the course of their time at Eastwick, many students tell me about their studies, home lives and families, jobs, and often, their financial difficulties. I can appreciate the hardships students face and I know that worrying about money can impact a student’s success. The Eastwick Foundation can make a difference. My last donation to the Foundation assisted a student faced with the possibility of not being able to complete her fieldwork assignment. She was living on a limited budget and was faced with not having the money to pay for the gasoline and toll expenses needed to transport her to her fieldwork site. I was so happy to hear that my contribution covered her final travel expenses and that she was able to finish her final assignment. I am so pleased and impressed that The Eastwick Foundation assists students in such practical and meaningful ways.

If there were an “Ivy League” of professional and trade schools, Eastwick College and the HoHoKus School of Trade would represent New Jersey. Under the guidance of its Founder and President, Thomas Eastwick, they open the door to opportunity and inspire hope for a productive future in a variety of specialized professions and trades. They are a timely training ground for students to face the current demands of society with much needed skills.

Eastwick College has been an ongoing supporter and donor to our agency since 2011!
The college inspires community action as part of their student culture. Students and faculty embrace a vision that their school is an active member of the local community and, in addition to their studies, they have many ongoing fundraising and hands-on charity services that they actively pursue each year! Last year, The Center for Food Action was one of six food pantries that was awarded $5,000 as part of Eastwick College's ongoing efforts to help feed the hungry and homeless in NJ. They are an inspiration in the community and we thank them for their ongoing support!

I have had the privilege to work the Eastwick Foundation in supporting the Good JuJu project in Jamaica. As a former resident of the island, I continue to be impressed with the vision, passion and execution of this important work. Through the project, young under privileged Jamaican children are given the resources to make early childhood education possible. This one small "assist" at the beginning of these children's lives will undoubtably produce results that last for generations. I remain optimistic that the positive results in these children's lives will allow them to follow their dreams and become the people they were meant to be. I would encourage all to support this worthy cause.
