Mission: Easter seals eastern pa creates life-changing solutions for individuals with disablities and their famlies in their community by increasing independence, maximizing opportunities, minimizing barriers and enhancing quality of life.
Programs: Early childhood: early intervention provides critically needed services to children with disabilities or developmental delays from birth to age three in berks county, the lehigh valley and the poconos. Easter seals' mission extends to helping families by giving them emotional and educational tools to best support their special children. Our licensed therapists provide physical, occupational, speech and vision therapy as well as educational support from certified early childhood and special education teachers in hundreds of homes throughout the region. During fiscal year 2016-2017, 841 children and their families received early intervention services from easter seals eastern pennsylvania.
medical rehabilitation:outpatient therapies provide physical, occupational and speech therapy for children and young adults on an outpatient basis. We are committed to maximizing each individual's potential through medically sound and proven rehabilitation therapies. These therapies address the factors that hinder an individual's growth and functioning. In fiscal year 2016-2017, easter seals provided medical rehabilitation to 210 people in berks county.
contracted services: school and community support services help individuals with special needs through local schools and other organizations. We provide occupational, physical and speech therapy in school districts and an equipment loan program. During fiscal year 2016-2017, easter seals provided contracted services to approximately 97 children in the lehigh valley and berks county.
