Mission: The Easter Island Foundation’s mission is to support the Rapa Nui people to preserve their vibrant Polynesian culture. The EIF supports Rapa Nui students with educational scholarships that bring opportunities and benefits to individuals, families, the economy and community as a whole.
Target demographics: higher education for young Rapanui students
Direct beneficiaries per year: 38 students
Geographic areas served: Easter Island
Programs: In 2023, we funded 23 scholarships for the advanced education of persons of Easter Island (rapa nui) ancestry, and a newly created Rapanui language program for grade school children on the island. The EIF also supplies financial support of music education on Easter Island.
