Programs: Through its affiliate the east west foundation of india the organization provides a nurturing home and education to abandoned and orphaned children rescuing them from child trafficking, prostitution and forced labor. Over the last 5 years more than 100 such children have been rescued and have been provided a home and and board at ulluru childrens' home (uhc) run by the east west foundation of india which has sent them to public schools, at present there are 40 girls between the ages of 2-16 and 15 boys between the ages of 4-17 living in the ulluru childrens home (uhc) and being educated in the village public school. Uhc is staffed by a full-time live-in manager, two social workers, two cooks and three assistants and a gardener. Over the last 5 years, more than 15 children have graduated from school and uhc and have gone on to pursue college education or pursue different occupations. It costs approximately $7,000 per month to operate uch
provide support for a walk-in clinic (ulluru health care center) staffed by a full-time physician and 3 nurses, 3 social workers and a pharmacy technician to provide basic healthcare and immunization to the surrounding villages. The surrounding villages are populated by fisherman and seasonal tenant formers who lack decent health care, health education and immunization. Ulluru health care center (uhcc) provides not only heath care but also conducts public awareness campaigns to educate the villagers about communicable diseases, nutrition, child immunizations and sanitation. Over the last 10 years uhcc has treated more than 80,000 walk-in patients and conducted more than 20 public awareness campaigns. It costs approximately $5,000 per month to operate uhcc
