Provider Erika is unprofessional and unethical. when my provider is more worried about her sleeping with a coworker I find issues. This place is a disaster and I am ashamed to see this company using Christianity as a cover for a brothel. What a disgrace. Horrible customer service and even worse behavior. This place is a scam and NEEDS INVESTIGATED AND SHUT DOWN! I am appalled.
East Liberty Family Health Care Center is dedicated to their community and the people they serve. I have worked with them personally on their work to become a Patient-Centered Medical Home, a model of care that truly makes patients the focus of all their efforts. They are dedicated to continuously improving their care and furthering their mission.
I have been a patient at the East Liberty Family Health Care Center for 29 years. Each and every time I called to make an appointment they always have worked me into the schedule. The doctors visited me in the hospital even though I was not there as their patient for that visit. There were times I could not pay my co-pay and they gave me a grace period until I could pay or waived the fee. I have had a number of appointments that has taken more time than was scheduled but the doctor did not hurry to get me out of the room for another patient. I am treated with respect and the staff lets me know my health concerns are very important.
The East Liberty Family Health Care Center is a beacon of hope for residents of Pittsburgh's East End who are in need of high quality whole-person healthcare but may not have the means to pay for it. The staff are extremely dedicated and demonstrate their heart for those in need on a daily basis. Several of the staff and board have been there since the Center's founding in 1982.
The East Liberty Family Health Care Center is filled with heroes. It is a Center that serves the uninsured, underinsured and underserved people of all ages from the East End of Pittsburgh, without regard to ability to pay. I love the Center and its people: its sacrificial employees, its grateful patients, its caring volunteers and other stakeholders. I am so grateful for its presence and for its commitment to excellence. From newborm babies to young children to teenagers to young families to those in middle and then old age, the Center serves.
I have been involved with the East Liberty Family Health Care Center since its beginnings in 1982 when I served as the initial administrator. From that beginning with a physician, a nurse and me (social worker and administrator) the East Liberty Family Health Care Center has grown to a community health center serving many thousands of patients with about 40,000 visits each year. Throughout that time it has continued the commitment to serve all who need care without regard to ability to pay. I was with Dr. David Hall the afternoon in 1982 when we made a home visit on a woman referred to us by a Meals on Wheels Program and discovered that she had a life-threatening condition. She was promptly transported by me with doctor and nurse to the emergency room for admission into the hospital. She returned home after needed medical care. Despite the considerable growth which has resulted in two sites, several physicians on staff and thousands of patients, the East Liberty Family Health Care Center continues to be a patient-centered medical home for serving each patient with the same intensity and attention as that woman 29 years ago.
