Results: East Lake’s success has and always will be based on collaboration – with community residents, with public and private partners, and with donors like you. We are proud to have accomplished the following in 2016: - The Foundation launched the East Lake Women’s Alliance, a group of executive women dedicated to advancing the Foundation’s mission. - 627 residents at The Villages of East Lake participated in 57 economic stability programs. - The First Tee of East Lake provided more than 950 youth, ages 5-17, with golf and life skills instruction. - Through East Lake Healthy Connections, 92% of individuals targeted for disease management reached recommended treatment goals 1- 6 micro-entrepreneurs participated in the inaugural Start:ME East Lake program. 3 entrepreneurs were selected by their peers to received up to $10,000 each in loans. - The After School Program served more than 550 students and is one of the largest in the state!
Target demographics: The Foundation works to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty in the East Lake neighborhood through a holistic model for revitalization including mixed-income housing, cradle-to-college education and community wellness.
