Mission: The purpose of the eafaf is to support east high school in achieving
Programs: The student assistance fund (saf) was established to help disadvantaged students obtain necessary items that are not otherwise available to them. These items included textbooks, binders, school fees for advanced placement tests, calculators, school supplies and/or bus passes to get to school. In 2016-2017 school year, approximately 510 students requested and received assistance.
for the 2016-2017 school year, eafaf faculty/staff committee received 34 grant requests in the amount of $107,999 from the faculty and staff of east high school. Eafaf fully or partially funded 28 grants for approximately $40,250. All 2,600+ students at east high school were impacted by these grants directly or indirectly because these grants help promote student achievement in many different departments of the school. Examples of programs funded are a) angels for ap excellense to enable broader
the east angel friends and alumni foundation provides scholarships to deserving graduating students who have attended east high school a minimum of three years and exhibit excellence in academics as well as strong participation in school and or community activities, and the student demonstrates character and commitment to their education. Family members of eafaf baord are not elibible for these scholarships. During the 2016-2017 school year, there were 40 applicants and eafaf awarded 19 individu
