East Coast Wildlife Rehab is the best Rehab Facility. The staff are knowledgeable about the care of all species of wildlife and they care so deeply for each and every injured and orphaned critter. They are selfless and care only about the wildlife that comes to them, usually having to spend their own money to be able to care and rehabilitate the wildlife. They work 16 hour days 365 days a year. If anyone deserves an award and recognition it is East Coast Wildlife Rehabilitation.

East Coast Wildlife Rehab is a wonderful facility that devotes itself to saving the wildlife . Animal welfare is first and foremost in the care they receive. It survives only by the generosity of the public, not government funding. Donations are critical to stay open. If they close there would be no place for the critters to be brought to with a high chance of return to the community. The animals receive veterinary care as needed and are kept in a clean safe environment. They are fed human grade food. East Coast Wildlife Rehab is an important asset to the Volusia County community and should be recognized as such.

And we were also very upset that a poor Red Tailed hawk had to spend its time tied up in a tree all because some falconry person lost it. Falconry really need to be looked at. Any 4000 yr old sport is in question. Thank the heavens that the bird survived tied up in tree because of man. Asking for donations we had damage and we took in over 300 hurt animals. What did you do but write neg feed about a rescue that does so much good.

I have been appalled to read about this so called rescue using Hurricane Irma to ask for funds under the guise of helping animals.

When the owner of an animal remains behind during an evacuation to search for their lost animal it should be returned to them. Instead this so called rescue and rehab refused to return a trained raptor and set it loose. They claimed on one hand that the bird was injured and they asked for donations. But then as the owner was on his way to claim his bird they set it loose!

So if the bird was injured they have doomed it to death by setting it loose. In any regard apparently this organization violated state and federal laws in how they handled the bird and by setting it free.
