Mission: To support the development of all our teachers, administrators and other professional personnel into world-class educators and better serve the needs of selected special needs populations for the success of all learners.
Target demographics: The East Bay Educational Collaborative (EBEC) is a non-profit educational service agency dedicated to supporting public and private school districts through New England since 1989.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 1000 teachers and their students
Geographic areas served: New England, primarily Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut
Programs: The Material Resource Center (MRC) provides hands-on inquiry science kits for grades k-12. The MRC primarily serves elementary and middle schools in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

EBEC partners with science curriculum vendors to provide a unique sustainable cost-effective science kit refurbishment system that takes the prep-work and shopping out of teaching hands-on activities.
This client-responsive system includes certified hands-on professional development that can be scheduled at your school or at our beautiful facility in Warren, Rhode Island.
EBEC partners include The Office of Naval Research, from which we've received funding for Physics first and innovative, transformational STEM resource grants for teachers.
In addition to FOSS, BBS, Lab-Aids and ONR; EBEC partners include Jason Learning, Aecern, Math Advantage, ProjectEngin, zSpace, Aecern, MIT, WHOI, RIEEA, The Tennis Hall of Fame, The Educated Edge, Momentum of RI, and many more.
The RI Department of Education endorses EBEC as a provider of high quality professional development in science.
In addition to providing STEM resources, EBEC includes a career academy, special services and assistive technology.
The East Bay Career Academy is an alternative, tuition-based high school that helps students gain direction to become gainfully employed and trained.
