Causes: Astronomy, Education, Elementary & Secondary Schools, International, Literacy, Promotion of International Understanding, Technology
Mission: Our mission is to create a climate for the performing of astronomical and space-related education and research, and in particular to create a "learning-by-doing" environment wherein its participants will be directly engaged in research activities. Furthermore, we are seeking to make this a global effort through the Earthrise Project (described at http://www.swisr.org/earthrise.html) that will encourage its participants to form international collaborations in pursuing research and educational activities.
