Early Childhood Resource Center

I have been in the early childhood education field for over 30 years. I have worked in three states during this time. It wasn't until I moved to Stark County 7 years ago that I learned about the Early Childhood Resource Center.No place I have lived has had this type of resource available to those who work in the early childhood field. What a blessing this organization is to this area! Not only have I furthered my education through this organization, so has my staff. The children at our center have benfited through learning activities that were created in the production lab. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

I ECRC Is an amazing resource. They have made so many opportunities available for the myself and the community. Grants and scholarships for trainings for professional growth and equipment to run a business with great quality. The staff are very friendly and caring. They go above and beyond to help you succeed in your program. I have been a member for 8 years. I would not still be in the field of Early Childhood without their Excellent programs that the ECRC has offered to aid my growth. Lending Libray, College Classes, CDA & Accreditation classes, Business trainings, mentoring programs, parent groups and many many more. Thank You ECRC!!!! You are an amazing blessing to so many!!

I volunteer for this great organization because I’m passionate about helping, inspiriting our youth success. ERCC reaches out to children at the pre-school level and has an awesome new facility with a wide array of resources that is very impressive! It's very important to start the education process at a very young and ERCC definitely has planned for the future. I would highly recommend visiting the new facility for your pre-school child.

The ECRC serves a very valuable function in our community. They provide resources for providers as well as training. With their newly expanded facility and enhanced programming, they will only increase in their contribution to the Early Childhood field.

I am a Type-A home daycare provider who visited the ECRC thru my mentor. The program seems very community friendly and I would definately use this site if I lived closer. The staff are very helpful and organized. I hope they continue their work with families and daycares, they are definately needed in the community. Great Job!!

As a Type B-Home Childcare Provider I have received so much support from the ECRC: Finacially they assisted me in obtaining my CDA which has helped me become a better provider. Socially they have given me the opportunity to meet and network with others, who have influenced me in positive ways. The amount of training that I have received from the ECRC, I would not have been able to afford. All of the staff are an asset to the agency and the mission of the center.They treat everyone with respect and care, they make you feel very welcome. The center allows us resources that cannot be within the home, the production lab, the lending library and educational game/toys. Wonderful experience!!

ECRC has made a huge difference in my daycare. They have supplied me with knowledge and materials that benefit the children in my care. Through their efforts the children in the community are given many advantages that will help them succeed in life.

The ECRC has benefited our employees at Buttons and Bows with their CDA classes. they have been accomodating with the classes offered and their expertixe in the field of child care. We really appreciate everything that that have done for us and our community. Jackie, ADM.

The ECRC is a fantastic organization. They are well-run, well-organized and provide a great service in our community. I've enjoyed participating in a number of events they have hosted, many of which are geared right for my young children. I only hope that they can continue to build awareness so many more in our community can see the value they provide!

ECRC is a class act! Their community support and resources available are above and beyond my expectations. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Proud to have ECRC apart of our community…bettering the lives of others.

I have seen the difference in knowledge and job performance from my staff who have attending the CDA trainings offered through this organization. I have also found valuable resources myself in my visits & experiences with the ECRC. I absolutely love the Caring for the Caregiver events which goes to show that the women and men involved with this organization truly do care about others (including children) and their well-being.

There is always a friendly voice on the other end of the phone and willing to help with any issues I come across. Every year this facility gets better and better. Every community should be as lucky as ours and have this resource.

The leadership and focus of the ECRC is top notch! Having worked with these men and women for the last 2 years they truely have a passion for what they do. The outreach to the community and the services they provide has made the Early Childhood Resurce Centers one of the most vital education resources in Stark County!

I teach at Walsh University and take my teacher candidates to the ECRC every semester for an overview of all they offer to pre-service educators and current teachers. I am amazed with every visit the willingness to invite our teacher candidates to visit and the collaborative efforts the ECRC team affords our student populations. This has been a wonderful service and partnership to our faculty, universities, and general population. Thank you ECRC for your vision for our children, continued support of the greater community, and your investment to the future educators of America.

The Early Childhood Resource Center provides extensive outreach to our community touching the lives of both children and adults. As a YMCA Child Care Director, I saw the the Early Childhood Resource Center provided support for staff training. On several ocassions, staff members came to our center to teach and offer support. Providing low cost memberships to the Production Lab, made it easier for the Teachers to make manipulatives, bulletin boards, or prepare activities for classroom projects.

As the Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Stark County, I still see the continuation of community support. The BBBS Staff utilize the Production Lab to prepare bulletin boards to post in the YMCA branches, make pieces for projects and activities to do with the children and laminate important items for safe keeping. In the fall, the Resource Center provided a wonderful speaker for a training we held for our Adult Mentors. The quality of the training was top notch and the low cost made it possibile for us to provide. The Resource Center has a wonderful library for the staff to find books to share with the children and also books and CDs that can be incorporated into trainings.

We are very thankful to have the services of the Early Childhood Resource Center available to so many non-profit agencies, schools, and churches.

I volunteer for this group because if my interest in early childhood education. This organization has a committed group of people dedicated to advancing the quality of the learning experience for pre-schoolers. I have been impressed with their ability to provide resources that have made a difference in both the lives of children and their educators. You couldn't find a better group to volunteer for. Even with all of their successes they are pushing forward with even better programs and great new facilities.

How wonderful it was for me to be made aware of the Resource Center services offered to our community! As an educator working as a volunteer for our church, I was pleasantly surprised by the generosity of the organization to those of us who use the services they have to offer. Upon my first visit to the facility, I was greeted and given an instructional tour of what was available to me by a friendly staff member who was very patient in answering all my questions.
The center is a user friendly environment. A clean work area is available to create and preserve projects for the children back at our home church. Everything is at your fingertips and if something seems to have run out or cannot be found, again the staff is on hand to help you.
I am so appreciative that they are open to serve our area in such a meaningful and giving way. They are truly a blessing to all of us who have found them . They go above and beyond all expectations!

The ECRC has offered unparalleled service to our community and I have used their resource room for BOTH of my jobs for the past 5 years. I work full time as an early childhood teacher and am director of a children's ministry program in the city of Massillon. I am so thankful for all they do and can't wait to see what they are able to achieve when they expand.

ECRC serves early childhood programs at all levels. As a director who has been a member of a training group, our center has been able to make positive changes. These changes continue to help us impact the children and families in our community in a positive way.

The Early Childhood Resource Center is a wonderful resource for our community. I have a masters degree in teaching and have been in the field oer 20 years. I have lived in several states and cities. This is the first resource center of this type I have ever encountered. In the past as an early childhood teacher I was able to utilize the center to make activities, books and all sorts of manipulatives for my classroom for free!

Currently I am an Even Start teacher and utilize the center to bring young parents in and allow them to make educational manipulatives to use with their children in their own homes. Also my students are able to use the resource center on their own. This provides an excellent opportunity for the families to provide learning opportunities at home to their children. My young mothers are excited to use the ECRC. I cannot say enough good things about it.

I would also like to say the staff there is very helpful. They give ideas, helpful tips, demonstrate how to use the equipment and are always on hand to answer questions. They are as big a blessing to us as the resource center itself!

We are fairly new to the Resource Center. However, our organization had one of our teambuilding meetings at the Center and then were able to prepare items for our upcoming events. Everyone there was so helpful and the resources offered to us was amazing. We were able to make die cuts, laminate, copy, and even glue our items. The teachers were happy they were able to accomplish so much in such a short period of time. I was happy the teachers were prepared for upcoming events. Everyone is excited about going back!!!!
