Mission: Our mission is to prepare individuals and families for successful living through our several workforce development programs. We purpose to educate and train people of all ages in activities of daily living, money management, positive parenting and family competency, educational excellence, job readiness, optimum physical health, mental well-being, and spiritual growth and maturity. Our goal is that every person impacted by the ministry will line up and walk in their god-given destiny.
Programs: This fiscal year evm ran the capital area prisoner re-entry program as a subcontractor under capital area michigan works! (camw! ). We served about 50 parolees under this employment program. We met all prescribed performance guidelines from camw! With over 40% employment monthly. This program ended 9/30/2016.
evm continued its second chance employment enterprises, a transitional employment opportunity for ex-offenders, with contracts from the ingham county landbank performing lawn care in spring/summer and snow removal in the winter. Benevolent programs added value to the community including second chance employment opportunities. This program ended 10/30/2016.
evm started a human trafficking program that served 3 survivors and provided community awareness and training.
