Mission: The mission of the eagles wings foundation is to provide post-disaster relief and organizational leadership to volunteer and professional services. Additionally, ewf is expanding its role in the emergency management community to support disaster preparedness and mitigation initiatives aimed at supporting first responders worldwide.
Programs: The eagles' wings foundation is offering training resources to first responders who wish to continue their education in emergency management. The eagles' wings foundation is working closely with local contacts in haiti on a project that will support reforestation in a region that has been severely impacted by climate change and non-sustainable development practices. The project aims to create a renewable energy resource location in a currently deforested region north of port-au-prince, providing sustainable energy to local citizens and businesses. Additionally, the site will promote eco-tourism and several "green" initiatives that will provide locals with access to information about sustainable living and best practices in the use of natural resources. The united states air force academy (usafa), with their cadet capstone projects, is coordinating closely with ewf on the haiti project and on identifying properties in south florida that have been repeatedly impacted by floodwater, and providing local government agencies with recommendations that focus on improving disaster preparedness. Ewf supports this mission by providing usafa with technical resources to support data collection and analysis. Additionally, ewf personnel travel with usafa cadets during outreach missions to support software implementation and assist in data collection.
