Causes: Environment, Water, Water Resources, Wetlands Conservation & Management
Mission: Advocate for the health & conservation of area rivers via research, education and projects. Erwc provides a forum where everyone can gain a greater understanding of the eagle river environment.
Programs: Water quality monitoring and assessment project - to ensure continued and improving water quality through extensive water quality monitoring and data assessment in collaboration with 12 entities in the eagle valley.
us forest service project - erwc works with the forest service annually to improve native trout (and other acquatic species) habitat on public lands.
urban runoff/water quality action planning - an on-going effort to improve water quality in the eagle river watershed through the development of the community-specific action plans. The completed plans provide each town with: specific recommendations for code/regulation adjustments, site- specific projects, revegetation projects, and educational programs. The plans include cost estimates and prioritization according to the anticipated effectiveness of controlling water quality impacts.
