I found this non-profit through CraftingChange.org, and I make several dishcloths each year for donations to local food pantries. If I am donating locally, I attach the dishcloth to a bottle of dish soap.
I have also mailed in the dishcloth for this non-profit to distribute. I enjoy working with this non-profit, and I love to support their mission.
I never thought about the need for dishsoap and dishcloths until I was introduced to Each Stitch Counts by Craftingchange.org. Now I donate to my local food pantry as well as sending my crocheted dishcloths straight to Debbie. I love this nonprofit because it's so easy to help with just a ball of yarn and a bottle of soap.
I have been crocheting dishcloths for Each Stitch Counts for 2 years. My aunt and friends have been knitting as well, and together we assemble the dish soap and dishcloth bundle.
We donate them here in Michigan, but the organization has donations nationwide. The feedback has been so positive..that Families love getting a homemade gift to help clean, and reminds them someone cares.
