Mission: The foundation will determine the extent of and number of these injuries that have occurred, conduct research on the exact cause and mitigation of these type injuries and disseminate research and information as widely as possible. The level of increased awareness will be measured from a yet to be determined baseline and periodic goals will be established to measure and demonstrate trend lines. Research efforts and public safety awareness efforts will begin concurrently in 2003 with contracted staff members as funding permits.
