RE: Dutchess Outreach / Lunch Box (soup kitchen)?
(Poughkeepsie, NY)
Should they post their rules and regulations and bi-laws?
I asked to see them and Brian, the director said no.
I want to know what there rules are... for example..
2 people arguing with raised voices. Should both people be reprimanded by a staff person? Or only one? And if the rule is no raised voices, should the staff person be reprimanded for her raised voice?
What does their rule say? Is it possible their rule would violate your human rights?
I was kicked out because I raised my voice to protect myself.
This 70 year old only has a voice. I have no gun, can not hit people.
Yet when I am hit, I am told I am lying.
15-16 years of going to this place and I have seen it all. The staff is not supportive of old, white females who are being bullied.
Someone should look into how they really treat people.
I have been active in many volunteer organizations over the last twenty years and I find Dutchess Outreach to be one of the most caring and giving organizatrons I have been associated with. The staff is extrememly dedicated to helping the less fortunate and always treat all the clients with respect. I am proud to be associated with the group.tion.s
