All of these services are provided free of charge. I've been a volunteer in various capacities for 30 years, and have seen the need for what we offer grow as no other organiza-tion provides these types of services or at no cost. Elders are my passion! I love Duet!
I've worked with this organization for about 30 years because one of my causes has always been helping the elderly -- the invisible population because many are home bound, cannot drive, and have no one to help them. They live behind closed doors -- they are the forgotten members of our communities. Helping Duet help those who need grocery shopping, a friendly visitor, transportation to doctors' appointments means a lot to me. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren is one of the fastest-growing programs as the drug problems have exacerbated with the opioid epidemic. What a great program!! There is also Caregiver programs for those caring for dementia and Alzheimer's loved ones. A GREAT organization!
