My son loves his weekly riding lessons! Ms. Brenda and her volunteers are skilled, kind and patient. My son is actively engaged in countless learning opportunities throughout his lessons. I highly recommend therapeutic riding lessons at Dream A Dream!
My son, who is autistic and has Down syndrome, just loves to go to DAD and meet Susie "the horse", as he calls her, and instructors. There are few things he enjoys doing and is excited about and going to DAD is certainly one of them. We can't say enough about this place and the people that make this happen.
Dream a Dream has truly been a dream come true for our family. Our son, who has special needs, has participated in horse therapy in several states, but nothing compares to the incredible experience we’ve had with Dr. McCall and her team. She has dedicated her life to working with special-needs children and horses, and her compassion and commitment are truly unmatched. The way she connects with both her riders and her horses is extraordinary and reflects a deep love and understanding that can't be found anywhere else.
The horse-riding programs here are exceptionally well-structured. They offer a perfect blend of therapeutic support and skill-building exercises, allowing riders like our son to not only gain physical coordination but also build emotional resilience and self-confidence. It’s heartwarming to see the positive impact these sessions have had on his growth, both mentally and physically.
We absolutely love this place, and I sincerely hope they can expand to reach even more children in need. The entire community stands to benefit from the incredible work they do here. Instructors like Tammy and Michael are equally devoted, bringing love, patience, and care to each child’s unique needs. They tailor their approach with such sensitivity, ensuring every rider gets the support they need to thrive.
We are beyond grateful for this life-changing experience and hope that many more families will have the opportunity to experience the same
I’ve been volunteering at Dream a Dream for a couple years and it is a fantastic organization. The riders, horses, instructors, and volunteers become family. Amazing to see the progress riders make in their riding skills, confidence, and verbal and motor skills through therapeutic riding, and excellent instructors like Brenda.

Dream a Dream is such a great organization. Brenda and Michael McCall have put their hearts and souls into the place and it shows! It’s really cool to watch Brenda and great volunteers interact with the kids and make progress towards their individual goals. It’s really a family atmosphere for the riders and everyone involved. Dream A Dream Therapeutic Horsemanship is a fantastic organization; its managers Brenda and Michael McCall offer a cheerful, safe and genuine horse-and-human experience for young people and adults with physical and mental challenges, especially those with cognitive disorders and autism.
I feel so strongly about DADTH that I have donated not one, but TWO, quality registered American quarter horses to them (one, a former palomino world champion)! The McCalls' care for their stable of equine partners is excellent, second only to the loving care they give to their clients who visit on a weekly basis. Dream a Dream has been an incredible support to my daughter Alexa. She has been riding and learning how to take care of horses with them for many years. Brenda is an amazing support and loving teacher at Dream a Dream. She founded the center and is dedicated to the children and horses. She is an incredible teacher to my daughter with both learning how to care for horses and modeling life skills. We have loved riding at the center for the past 7 years. My grandson has been attending here this past year. The owners and volunteers are second to none! They are all extremely flexible and able to meet a huge variety of needs. They are always positive and make everyone feel welcome and valued. They are a special group of people.

I started volunteering at Dream a Dream six months ago; looking for a way to utilize my equine skills and give back to the community. Little did I know how amazing this would be! I learn something new every week from our Friends and their families. I also greatly appreciated the leadership and mission that Brenda cultivates and manifests every day. The very best part of my week is being here on Saturday mornings and seeing the smiles our Friends share with us!
I have witnessed first hand how Dream a Dream has touched the lives of so many families. The horses are miracle workers, and the effects of equine facilitated therapy are so far reaching. Truly this program is changing lives, one hoof beat at a time.
It impresses me that this wonderful program is ALL volunteer run. Every penny raised and earned goes right back into the program by supporting the horses and often financial help for their riders. A true nonprofit striving to help others via the healing power of horses.

Brenda has a wonderful place and helps many kids. I volunteer on occasions and seeing the smiles on the children’s faces just melts my heart. They are so sweet and really enjoy the time they are there.
Dsf is absolutely fabulous! The volunteers are well trained and children just love going. It means so much to these children and you can feel the love of everyone. The staff put smiles on these children and adults every week...Dsf is a dynamite nonprofit!
We started going to Dream a Dream when our child was just 6 years old; now he's a teenager. Dream.a Dream has always been the highlight of his week, and we couldn't recommend it more. Brenda and Michael, and all the volunteers make this truly a special place.

I volunteered with DADTH for several years as a horse-walker, even though it often meant a 50+ mile commute. I don't think there are any words to express what the experience of riding - of touching a horse, interacting with a horse, being up higher than all the adults around you, being outside in a natural environment - what all that means to the people who are served by DADTH. The knowledge and commitment of owners Brenda and Michael are truly inspirational. I thought Brenda had an enormous grasp of both the equestrian and the child-health side of things when I knew her, but she has since gone on to get her PhD. And hardworking - no words for that either. DADTH exemplifies everything one hopes for in a non-profit. I urge anyone interested to support this organization.

I wholeheartedly recommend this place!!! I have been volunteering for almost 4 years and I have loved every minute of it. The owners, Brenda and Michael McCall, are the most caring and giving people you would ever meet and our therapy horses are the best. I've brought my almost 2 year old grandson out several times and to watch how gentle and sweet the horses are with him is just heart melting. Dream a Dream is truly the best!!!
We love DaDTH! My daughter has been volunteering for a few months! She has fallen in love with the horses and has learned so much from Brenda. DaD is not only a huge blessing to the riders coming for therapy, but also to the volunteers.

Fantastic organization that embraces the equestrian experience for folks of all ages, abilities, disabilities, and life spectrums. Brenda, her husband, and all the volunteers are kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable with the horses and providing an exceptional therapeutic riding program for folks in the west of Austin communities. The facility is well run, all the animals are extremely loved and cared for, kindness, respect, and friendliness is what makes this program so special!
Dream a Dream is one of my favorite organizations. They use horses to help disabled riders! My horse had the privilege of carrying a Dream a Dream rider. The JOY that this program brings to the riders is incredible. Brenda McCall and her volunteers are professional, highly skilled and knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated to their cause.
