Drug Prevention Resources goes above and beyond to serve the community. Mr. Agapito Chavez is an outstanding leader and professional who has done an outstanding job of educating the public on the dangers of substance abuse and promoting prevention.
Agapito and the Drug Prevention Resource Center have been a fixture in Cedar Hill for as long as my family has been residents. Their many programs for students and parents have kept our community safe and drug-free! I HIGHLY recommend DPR for a nonprofit award.
They are a fabulous resource. They are great with the kids and do a wonderful job with the parents on Saturday. The parents find them informative and entertaining. The students really learn a lot about themselves and their choices.
My name is Andrew Dang, and I have seen the impact of the work that Drug Prevention Resources does in my community. Kids and parents alike have been given the knowledge and the tools to be able to understand the dangers of drug use and to avoid drug usage overall. The teachers employed by Drug Prevention Resources are a valuable resource to the community. Keep up the great work!
Our school district has been blessed by DPR the past several years by having dedicating folks come in and speak to our students about the dangers that they are facing in today's world. I have been fortunate to work beside them in presenting a Hide N Seek bedroom set up to educate parents on hidden drugs. This gives so much awareness to the guardians of our teens. We also have a Impact Street team that they work with closely and it makes a big difference when students are speaking out to teens. Thank you DPR for the resources that you provide our folks in Ellis County
I've advocated on behalf of DPR for several years. The work they do in schools and in communities is a breath of fresh air because each of the organization's employees gives so much heart to her/his job. DPR puts itself on the front lines with a major mission to create a drug-free generation through collaboration, innovation, education and advocacy. I can't wait to see them make it happen!
I learned about this organization through a friend of mine who had served as a board member for several years. Once I learned the organization's story, I had to join. Although I have never struggled with drug abuse, I know many who have and I know the devastation that this addiction has on a family--particularly when the addicted individual is a youth. DPRI works schools and community-based organizations to equip young people (beginning at 9 years old!) with knowledge and skills to make wise choices related to their health, their futures, and the quality of their lives. This organization is doing OUTSTANDING work and can use the support of the public in doing the work that is essential for our country and for our young people at this time. I hope you will join us in making a difference in young lives.
