Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Human Services, Senior Centers, Seniors
Mission: Drive a Senior Northwest enhances the lives of our senior neighbors by providing essential services (transportation, grocery shopping, etc.) so they can live independently longer in their homes and stay active in their community.
Results: Providing FREE services for the past 34 years, and even through the pandemic, our volunteers help our seniors meet their critical medical needs and have access to nutritious food. Our program is a connection to the community for our isolated and vulnerable senior neighbors.
Target demographics: Seniors who live independently, but no longer drive
Direct beneficiaries per year: 400+ seniors with almost 8500 rides and services
Geographic areas served: Cedar Park, Leander and NW Austin
Programs: transportation to medical appointments, help with grocery shopping, prescription pick up and delivery
