I take courses at Drisha because the instructors consistently teach Jewish biblical texts in an honest and thoughtful way. They encourage discussion, individual analysis, and collaborative learning. As teachers and learners, women and men are equally respected. Drisha programming goes out of its way to identify new and nurture new instructors and provide them with a forum for their understanding of text. Most recently, Drisha began a series of lectures on the intersection of Jewish thought and the environment.

Causes: Adult Education, Education, Graduate & Professional Schools, Judaism, Religion
Mission: The school offers a wide variety of educational initiatives including continuing, collegiate and high school education programs, and is recognized as a forum for developing and empowering the next-generation of jewish scholars and leaders.
Programs: During the summer of 2016 there were four programs, continuing education (129 attendees), a kollel (20), regular classes (18) and a high school program (27). Fall 2016 programs included continuing education and community lectures (309 attendees), a "minyan" program (67), and a "drishat shalom" class for collegiates (15). In the winter a "week of learning" group was held (39 attendees), followed by week long kollel program (18). During the spring of 2017 we ran a continuning education series which included community programs (310 attendees) and a "drishat shalom" lecture for collegiates (27). In the summer of 2017 two educational programs were held, a kollel (52 attendees) and continuing education (78).
