Mission: The mission of dress for success san francisco is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Programs: Dress for success san francisco served a total of 706 women in 2014 while implementing five part programming including suiting program, going places network job search program, professional women's group, financial literacy and career center. Dress for success san francisco executed 678 suiting appointments including 570 interview suiting appointments and 108 employment suiting appointments in our suiting program. Over the past year dress for success san francisco professional women's group increased its membership to 297 with 48 active members. Sephora university continued to provide in kind conference room space in order to accommodate our professional women's group monthly meetings of approximately 40 members per month. In addition, dress for success san francisco continued to provide 12 week financial literacy program which served 13 participants. Finally, dress for success san francisco executed 4 cohorts (36 weeks) of the going places network by walmart programming which maintained an employment placement rate of 40% serving total of 45 women with 18 women securing employment and 23 women securing interviews. Dress for success san francisco will continue to provide gpn programming in 2015 and will partner with local accenture office to provide conference room space on a weekly basis for gpn programming. Dress for success san jose completed a successful year of growth in 2014, its second full year of operation. Dress for success san jose continued to maintain office space in milpitas, ca through the sobrato foundation and expanded office space in november 2014 with a move from suite 560 to 504 on the first floor of the building. Dress for success san jose successfully achieved its goal and objectives for 2014 including:1. Increase part time program coordinator position to full time. 2. Provide services to 150+ clients for interview suiting (1st suitors) and 50 women for employment suitings (2nd suitors). 3. Implement gpn program, suiting program, and career center. Programsdress for success san jose served a total of 404 women in 2014 while implementing suiting program, 4 cohorts of going places network job search program and career center programming. Dress for success san jose exceeded its program goals in 2014 with execution of 422 suiting appointments including 346 interview suiting appointments and 76 employment suiting appointments. Dress for success san jose maintained 41 referral agencies with 25 active referral agents in 2014. Dress for success san jose served total of 45 women in the gpn program with 29 securing employment, a 64% job placement rate. Eventsdress for success san francisco produced three successful fundraising events in 2014 including our 4th annual power walk which raised $18,184, an 18% increase from 2013 with 225 total participants (a 60% increase in registrants). In addition, dress for success san francisco held its annual fashion show gala fundraiser, success: you wear it well, with an attendance of 229 individuals and raised $102,561 from ticket sales, silent auction and live auction. Finally, dress for success san francisco produced its annual holiday shopping event, shop for success, with its first ever pop up shop! Pop up shop was a wonderful success as it generated $1,193 of total sales and a lot of great feedback from attendees! Donors enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while they enjoyed holiday shopping by local merchants including banana republic, bliss spa, lucy, toss and benefit cosmetics.
