Mary's Home has been doing good work in the community for years. Most of their leadership is new and their new direction and the way they treat people has really gone down hill. Please be careful when considering this avenue, though they say there are not faith based, there is a strong push towards the evangelical church that funds them.
I have been a volunteer with Dream Centers Mary's Home for well over a year now. My respect grows daily as I see how dedicated the staff and volunteers are in achieving organizational missions and goals. So much time is invested to figure out how the program can most effectively impact the lives of those receiving services. I absolutely love being a part of this organization and can't wait to see how it continues to grow to impact more lives.
When I first encountered Dream Centers, it was through the church I attended. I heard about ways I could volunteer and create support for the women in Mary's Home to connect and build relationships with the other mother's in the space. Mary's Home is a living environment where single mothers experiencing homelessness can apply to live in the space and work on the future they envision for themselves and their children. It allows them to break the cycle of homelessness they are experiencing and provides a space to explore the potential of their own identity and the future they desire for themselves and their family.
Can you imagine being given the chance to engage in a life changing opportunity like this? What that must feel like to suddenly be in the midst of such hope and possibility for your future. To be given access to resources that are right at your fingertips and have the support and caring needed to help you learn to access them, use them and leverage them for your future and that of your child. When I saw first hand what Dream Centers - Mary's Home was providing for the community I live in, I was filled with joy. I wanted to be able to be a part of supporting these women and their children as they walked this path, to be able to use my time and skills to enhance the process and create change in my community in one of the places I felt it was most needed. If I could support a mother in her path to change and growth so that both she and her child could live the life mom desired and deserved, then I knew that the example set by the mother for her child to see, could create a lasting and lifelong opportunity for the child as well. In my work with children with disabilities who face challenges and who require appropriate access to the services and supports they need to make the same progress as their peers, I knew this was just another opportunity to create access to not only the mothers who are raising these beautiful children, but also for the children to have more opportunity than they might have had, had their mother not been able to experience the blessing of Mary's Home and the Dream Centers.
Dream Centers is the most wonderful, exciting and potential filled Nonprofit that supports the greatest opportunity we know, POSSIBILITY.
Dream Centers changes the lives of single homeless mothers and their children through education and mentoring. The mothers are able to break the cycle of poverty and/or abuse which trapped them for years. They are able to achieve a better and stable life for their families. I was so impressed to visit the Extreme Dream project they were able to build in TEN days from start to finish. What an incredible effort and their Family Life Center is a beautiful and useful facility. Every community needs their own Dream Centers to make a difference in lifting women and their children out of homelessness.
This organization is so caring and is doing wonderful things in our city!! I have had the pleasure of volunteering with them in many areas, but also utilizing some of their services when I was in need of medical care. They treat you with the utmost respect and make sure that all of your needs are met when you go to their clinic. If there is a service they can't provide, they refer you out to another similar facility that is easy to work with (no hassles, like some other hospital referrals). They also have a wonderful facility, Mary's Home, for women who are trying to get back on their feet, which is truly a blessing to have available here! I am so grateful to have Dream Centers in Colorado Springs!
Volunteering with Dream Centers, Mary's Home has really blessed me. I get to work with compassionate professionals who thrive on giving a hand up to those who need it the most. They provide free educational webinars and plenty of opportunities to help out from helping at the offices to working one-on-one with those needing support. Everyone was very welcoming and excited to work with me as a new volunteer. I love this organization and the people!
I have worked with Dream Centers for a little over a year now and the impact I have seen in such a short time is incredible. Each and every member of the Dream Centers team is passionate about seeing women and children in the Colorado Springs area transformed through the Women's Clinic and Mary's Home, and their passion overflows into every interaction and conversation they have. I am honored to work with this ministry and help further its mission. Dream Centers is meeting a critical need and gap in care in our community and is setting the gold standard for other organizations to follow suit.
Dream Centers is one of the most incredible non-profits I have ever run across. Their heart, their mission but most importantly their impact. Each and every person on their team lives and breathes the mission to help women and children that are experiencing homelessness in the Colorado Springs community. Hearing the LASTING impact and results of the work they do is truly unbelievable. I am so grateful I have had the opportunity to work with such an extraordinary team and organization.
I started volunteering about 5 months ago. I had volunteered at a few other places around town and had enjoyed the experience. I was looking for a place to volunteer at on a regular basis and it was important for me to find a place that I could totally get behind what they were doing. Dream Centers is that place. Dream Centers does great work through Mary's Home and the Women's Clinic. Although I am a check list sort of person, and sometimes I get to do that, not always. Sometimes it's just being still and listening. Some of what you hear is hard and not pretty and you can't fix or change it. But it's not about me. It's about being available and willing. It's about an amazing opportunity to partner with others to make a difference. There's no small way to help others. Come join the team! Be that difference. It all matters.
I feel so blessed to be able to work with such an amazing organization. I have been volunteering for six months, and I am constantly amazed at the way God works in the clinic. Through this organization, I have been able to share laughter, tears, encouragements, and prayers with so many women. I truly believe that God is changing lives through the Dream Center!
Dream Centers Mary's Home serves homeless mothers and their children in a very personal and material way. Every day spent there I see joy in the mothers, and incredible comradeship among the volunteer and permanent staff. Everyone is supportive and encouraging, which makes for very close group of people. We love welcoming new volunteers for the unique gifts each brings to the Ministry.
I recently attended the Tea at Glen Eyrie Castle on behalf of the Dream Centers, more specifically for Mary's home. The amazing, brave, young lady that spoke about her story touched me deeply and confirmed why I wanted to be a volunteer there. Mary's home doesn't just provide a band-aid to these women and wish them well, it gives the women and their children a second chance by literally meeting their needs for a period of time that allows them to receive healing, therapy and an education if they so desire. This program is the voice, arms, and feet of Jesus in such a tangible way that I have never seen before in a program. I am excited to see how God will grow this to ultimately bring even more glory to himself by every impacted life through Mary's Home.

I so love volunteering at the Dream Center Women's clinic. Just walking in every Wednesday morning brightens my day. The physical surroundings are cheery and inviting. The lovely ladies at the front desk lift my spirits with their smiles and encouragement.
I am a medical volunteer, and the women with whom I work alongside are so giving, joyful and fun. They pour their hearts into everything they do as they care for the women. They all have servant hearts and I have gained so much by their example.
This ministry is doing so much for the uninsured and underinsured women in our community. It is an honor to serve and contribute in this wonderful God infused ministry.
If you are a woman in need of any medical or emotional support, this should be your first choice. The staff here is incredible. I came here because a friend told me about it, and I don't have health insurance. I was in need of an annual check-up, and the bedside manner of these nurses is unlike anything I've ever experienced. They listen, they comfort, and they make it their goal to fulfill whatever your needs may be. I would recommend this place to anyone if they need help or are looking for a place to donate time or money. Their love for the community is one of a kind!
DCCS has enriched my life through the purpose and love I experience there as a medical volunteer. The compassionate and professional attitudes of the employees and volunteers create the environment at the clinic. The facility is clean and inviting. Each patient who enters receives a warm welcome and the best holistic care, from counseling services to Well Woman Exams. No issue is left unnoticed - if a patient has a need that cannot be addressed under our umbrella of services, we refer them out to another facility who can meet their needs. We treat patients with dignity and make sure we communicate the facts about their health to them. As a nurse, I enjoy the steady, peaceful pace I experience at the DCCS clinic. I feel very appreciated by the staff and volunteers. I look forward to coming to the clinic each time I volunteer. :)
Hi, I am a volunteer at The Dream Center Clinic and enjoy my time serving so very much. I find it amazing to be able to help women in so many areas of their lives. Sometimes it is just to be able to listen and other times it is a much greater capacity. Whatever need is filled it is very rewarding to me. I am very thankful to be a part of this clinic that can help the community in the many resources we provide. I see and feel God working on a daily basis as we do our work . Again, I am thankful and proud to be a part of this organization and to serve in my community. JAG
I have been volunteering for almost 2 years with the Dream Centers of Colorado Springs. Never before have I volunteered for an organization that touches so many lives on a DAILY basis. I look forward to my volunteer time every week and enjoy all of the people I work for. I've seen many women's' lives changed because of Dream Centers.
I have volunteered with the DCCS Women's clinic for 5 years. I love the people: staff, volunteers and patients and look forward to every week when I get to go for my shift. I have seen people's lives changed and God glorified in all that is done. I know that God is pleased with all that is happening in this most wonderful place. I also know it is His desire to grow this clinic so that more lives are impacted for the Kingdom.
I have had the joy and honor of volunteering at the woman's clinic as a nurse over the last year. This has been one of the sweetest most treasured serving ipertinitues I have ever had. The services that the clinic provides cuts cost on our city and state by reducing the volume of ER visits uninsured or underinsured patients would make. But, it goes so much farther and deeper than that! I have seen women come in lost, scared, feeling alone, and confused; only to leave with a new sense of self, purpose and love. I am so thankful for the opportunities to just sit with most of these ladies and listen to them.
I have been volunteering for 3 years with the Dream Centers of Colorado Springs. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and caring! They are really making a difference in the lives of the people they serve! I consider it a real privilege to assist and help where I can. So many places don't really make a difference in the lives of the people around them. This place really does!
If you have a heart to help those in need within your community, Dream Centers of Colorado Springs is a great place to get involved! Because I work full time and have a family, I have limited space for volunteering, but it makes no difference. The Dream Centers Volunteer Coordinator matches your talents and availability with their needs, and makes it easy! I love spending a couple of hours a month sharing the opportunity to put our hands in motion to illustrate what's important in our hearts. - Caring for those in need within our community, while activating the talents of those with a heart to serve! P.S. I NEVER have to question my donations to Dream Centers, either; they're great stewards of every penny or talent given.
I am a volunteer at the Dream Center Clinic, I have served for over year now, and I love it! Everyone is very nice, the atmosphere is so peaceful and kind. The need in our city for a place like this is tremendous, and the love shared at this clinic is evident to anyone who visits it. I decided to become a clinical counselor thanks to what I have experienced at DCC, so that I can serve God and others at the clinic even more, that is how much I love this place and the people who come here.
