Causes: Economic Development
Mission: The mission of the Washington Harbor District Alliance (WHDA) is to recruit and support businesses in the Central Business District while building partnerships that encourage preservation and promote the Harbor District as an inclusive, professional, commercial, cultural and residential community on the water.
Programs: Worked with local businesses to increase traffic downtown by holding events to increase foot traffic resulting in increased economic stability of the downtown area. Also, facilitated the planning for the downtown water front revitalization to draw tourist into the area from the boating community on the east coast.
