Causes: Domestic Violence, Family Violence Shelters, Homeless & Housing
Mission: The program provides services to victums of domestic violence including counseling, direct financial assistance and court advocacy. The organization also provides community education to schools and the general public.
Programs: The dvrc of alexander county has faced some funding issues this year but with the help of the community and a strong board of directore we have continued to provide a 24 hour hotline, web page, legal assistance, and temporary housing. The onsite shelter was closed in december, 2011 but clints are provided temp housing in near by shelters.
