My husband and I applied to DWB to adopt 2 older yorkie girls that had to be kept together. I'm sure this had it's challenges since they were 8 & 10 years old and 2 dogs. We are 55-65 and would have been thrilled to spoil them every day of their lives. We reside in Kern County and were told we were unable to rescue them because we don't live in LA County, after we paid the application fee I might add. So . . . . apparently this organization DOES have borders and these sweet girls will have to suffer because of that! SAD :|
Dogs Without Borders has rescued over 4000 dogs in the last 10 years. They work indefatigably every day to save as many dogs as they can. They rescue dogs from Los
Angeles shelters but also from countries as far away as Taiwan, Iran and Mexico. DWB specializes in small dogs such as Alice, below. DWB survives because of the efforts of volunteer foster homes who take painstaking care of our rescues, many of whom are
ill or injured, and all of whom get wonderful forever homes.
