Mission: At Dogs Are Deserving Rescue, we are dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need, with a special focus on misunderstood breeds like Pit Bulls. We believe every dog deserves a chance to thrive in a loving home, free from prejudice and discrimination. We work to change misconceptions about breeds that are often unfairly judged. Additionally, we stand against Breed-Specific Legislation (BSL), fighting for fair treatment of all dogs, regardless of breed.
Results: We have rescued over 550 dogs since our inception in 2014.
Target demographics: Homeless, abused, and neglected dogs
Direct beneficiaries per year: 100 Dogs
Geographic areas served: Illinois and Indiana
Programs: Rescuing dogs from high kill shelters and abusive situations. We then get them the medical care they need and place them in foster homes while we look for furever homes.
