I waited a long time to get the Dog needed rabies shot, finally got her. They were going to over charge me $300. They decided for $250 because I complaint. She is not a Puppy she's between 4 and 5. Am a Senior, no senior discounts. Non for profit in my opinion?. I will not recommend them or do business with them. The shrift store is wonderful, love those girls.

We put in an application for a puppy we fell in love with. Put in the application, visited the location, sent a video of our apartment, had our landlord call them to vouch for what great tenants we were, etc. After weeks of calling we were told the committee chose someone else. I asked why we weren’t told, given we bought toys and expected to pick him up, we were told they were only volunteering and we should look elsewhere. I reported them and the county is looking into it. Funny part is, we would have looked at any of the puppies and given them a nice home. Sanctimonious people. I recently had a family tradegy and would have loved a dog.

Took my 5 yr old and 15 yr old daughters to this place on 11/12/2020, which happened to be my daughters birthday. We filled out 3 applications online previously for certain dogs and made an appointment to go in and see them. First the staff is lazy and rude. All the dogs were outside (out of view) and no one offered to bring them in so we can see them. The ones we asked for them to get it was always something either they wasn't good with kids or they had already bit someone a couple times. We were even told that one dog would be too expensive to adopt because of his monthly medicine cost (they knew nothing about my finances) was also told another one that my daughter asked to just look at had bit someone on the face the day prior to us coming in. Then another my daughter asked to see they said it had bit 3 different people previously and had been there since a puppy so could not get adopted (however this dog is on their website). I don't know what they are even open for it don't seem as if they are attempting to get any of the dogs into a home. Worse experience ever and the place wasn't too clean either. The smell is horrible and several areas had dog poop visible and even smashed from the dogs walking in it..... Never again.

HORRIBLE and UNEDUCATED staff.I was trying for months to find my two cats homes. Unlike most careless owners I would never Abandon my animals. I tried through Facebook to find them homes but had no luck. I did not want to find my cats new homes but I had no choice because I had to live in a cheaper place which did not allow animals. So this was hard for me to even walk into dogs and cats forever. As soon as I walked in I wasn't even greeted I was immediately told they had no room for cats and that they could not help me. I explained that I had no where else to take them and this was my last option. One lady came over and looked at my cats and realized how "pretty" they were and friendly. She then told me that she would be abLe to adopt them out tomorrow because they were "pretty" I guess I'm not really sure why she changed her mind so quick. I continued to explain how they were nice friendly cats and I wouldn't be trying to find them new homes if I didn't truly have too. After she found out that they were declawed in the front paws her attitude changed quickly. She began to tell me that I abused my animals and that I let my vet "chop off the tips of their fingers". After insulting me and telling my that I had "damaged" cats she then said they they would never be able to find homes and that I've ruined their lives because when my cats are older they "won't be able to walk". She also told me that the vet who did this shouldn't have his license. Meanwhile the other older lady at the front desk didn't say one word and other customers were giving confused looks when the lady continued to tell me I hurt my animals. i did not understand. Declawing has been practiced for years and is NOT animal abuse. I began to cry because I thought I had finally found a nice place for my cats but I was wrong. She attacked me and made me feel like I abused my animals and hurt them. Declawing a cats front paws is not animal abuse. It's a simple procedure that removes their nails. There isn't even any blood when doing this either. (I've seen it done). This lady was clearly uneducated. Please do not seek any medical adivice from this place they are not smart or nice people. I do not support dogs and cats forever. The staff are very rude and uneducated especially the lady at the front desk. I hope they are not keeping or not adopting out cats because they have declawed paws. I really pray she isn't telling people or discouraging them to not adopt cats with declawed paws.

Affiliated with this compassionate rescue organization for five years. Dogs and Cats Forever No Kill Shelter/Sanctuary sets the standard of how a no kill rescue organization should be run. Soon to construct a larger extension for cats ... this organization uses endowments/donations "ethically" to provide even greater care and support to at-risk animals. All dogs and cats they take in (when there is room) are given outstanding care and attention. Potential adopting families are carefully screened and those that may never be adopted-out are assured a "FOREVER HOME" with this sanctuary-shelter...including veterinary/dental/ flea/tick etc. and grooming ... volunteers taking dogs for walks and even a swim in a cool down / exercise "dog designed" swimming pool on hot summer days. Paid for personally by an organization member who would prefer to remain anonymous. The shelter is always clean. Every dog has a run & there is even an outside play yard. I feel proud and honored to be part of this amazing sanctuary and the volunteers/supporters who help give their animals a second chance to LOVE! Dogs & Cats Forever is an organization totally dedicated to either finding forever homes for abandoned and neglected dogs and cats or providing a safe environment for them to live out their days. I adopted a dog that had been abandoned on the streets of Miami and sent to D&C because of their reputation as a no kill shelter. In the year that I have volunteered thay have rescued animals for imminent destruction by so called "Humane Societies" and integreated them back into forever homes. The staff are primarily volunteers and give not only of their time but also their personal resources.
