This place is a scam!! I was trying to find a home for my french mastiff. At first a women named Laura reached out and seemed professional. She sent me paperwork and said they would follow up to figure out some dates and times we were available . Then today out of nowhere she messages me to come get my dog RIGHT now. I told her I am not home or available and she wanted to send someone to me parents where she is to get her without me. I said I wanted to say goodbye and she said I was not entitled to that. I asked for their non for profit tax ID to reassure myself this was real as that raised a red flag for me and she said if I need to keep asking questions they aren't the Rescue for me and to go somewhere else. She told me they are very selective and only take french mastiffs and french bulldogs at a location in Anna tx. First of all there aren't many french mastiffs around here. I told her throwing something last second on me was not the plan and she said I should be grateful and she voulenteers and somehow I had wasted her time as she threw something on me last second?? I wanted to know who the head of the organization was and why the phone number she called me from was not on the website. She said they wont give their info to the public..but there is a number on the website??
She also said she was the head and secretary of the organization which contradicts what she previously said and there was no one else to talk to. I either give my dog to "someone" RIGHT now or they won't help me. Red flags everywhere...this is a scam. Nothing added up. If this is a rescue it's the most pathetic backwards twisted narcissistic organization I've ever seen and you need to keep your dog away from it. FYI she said I could lookup their tax ID and wouldn't provide it.. interesting. Like I said, SCAM

The rescue was formed to rescue and rehabilitate dogs in need from various sources, such as puppy mills, local shelters and strays. The rescue provides medical help for each dog, houses them, rehabilitates, socializes and trains them. Since its inception in 2014 over 900 dogs have come through the door of Dog Ranch Rescue and gone on to enjoy a very happily ever after.

We were beyond blessed to be chosen to adopt not once but twice from DRR. Renee, Jessica, Travis, Wes, Kirk, Laura, Cate, Pam, DS and everyone else who works with and for this wonderful organization are truly remarkable individuals! We have been avid followers for the last 2 1/2 years. The love, dedication, determination they and the village give for the safety and well being on all fur babies who have been fortunate to be rescued is nothing short of amazing! They and the village that helps support DRR spare no expense when it comes to rehabilitating every one of the fur babies that come into their care. DRR is far more than a rescue organization, they and the village are family! A family that cares about all fur babies everywhere! What I have learned is Renee, Laura and the rest of the wonderful team are not just there for the adoption but though every part there after as well. They sincerely love each and every fur baby that comes into their care and enjoy reading updates through the "Happy Tails" page. What this wonderful/amazing organization gives is hope... hope for the many that are still in captivity without loving homes to call their own. If it were not for DRR and the love these individuals have for saving the abused/neglected we would not have our two frog dogs who we love so dearly today. We cannot imagine life without them! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you everyone at DRR and the wonderful village family for the selfless sacrifices you make every single day!! Not only have you changed our two fur babies lives but ours as well and we simply cannot say Thank you enough. God Bless All of you and All you do!

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF NOR SEEN A MORE DEDICATED BEAUTIFUL FAMILY WHOSE TOTAL DEVOTION TO LONE STAR DOG RESCUE IS THEIR LIFE. THE ENDLESS HOURS, VET CARE, SADNESS AND LOTS OF JOY ARE ALL ROLLED INTO DAILY LIFE AT THE RANCH. THE EDEN FAMILY WORKS SO HARD TO CORRECT THE DAMAGE DONE TO INNOCENT ANIMALS BECAUSE OF COMMERCIAL BREEDING MILLS AND IN-HUMAN CONCERN FOR STARVING STRAYS. THEIR RESCUE IS HEAVEN ON EARTH AND HAS VETTED, TRAINED AND FOUND FOREVER HOMES FOR HUNDREDS OF DOGS. THE VOLUNTEER NETWORK IS UNSURPASSED FOR A PRIVATE RESCUE SUCH AS LONE STAR DOG RANCH. GOD BLESS ALL.

I came upon DRR by accident 3 years ago, I have laughed and cried at the situations they overcome on a daily basis. They rescue dogs from South Texas shelters that no one else will touch just because it takes a little more money than most are willing to spend. They see hope where others do not. They rescue from puppy mills and are dedicated to educating the public about the horrors of these evil, vile, hell holes. The entire family works for free 7 days a week caring, providing the best veterinary care money can buy and provide life saving psychological retraining so the dogs can find their perfect homes.
