I am proud to serve as a Dog Days volunteer! We facilitate the connection between the rescues, the dogs and the adopters. Dog Days has an extensive policy manual that is followed to ensure all state and local policies are followed, that the potential adopters are screened properly, home visits are made and the dogs are vetted. The volunteers put their heart and soul into the adoption events and it shows! We adopted a dog 3 years ago and the experience was great from beginning to end.
I have volunteered at Dog Days Adoption Events for the past 2 years. I never imagined the amount of work it takes to get an event to be so accomplished. They/We are so thorough in screening the potential adopters. They have a vet on site when the dogs arrive to ensure they are all in good health both physically and emotionally. The care for the dogs is amazing. They do not just let the dogs sit in kennels/crates all day. Volunteers take the dogs out to walk and play so they get the exercise they need and are socialized. We also have dog trainers at events for adopters to ask questions. The best thing is all of these dogs are fully vetted. When you get a dog from Dog Days Adoption Events they are up to date on all immunizations , spayed/neutered, and dewormed. And if of age they are heartworm tested.
I have nothing but praise for this nonprofit. I worked with the dogs as a dog handler aka "Ranger". It was such a great feeling knowing each of these dogs is going to their forever home. As the founder says it takes a village to get the job done. We have had 100+ volunteers at a Large event. Keep up the great work and I will continue to help as well.

This organization is great!! They are such caring, compassionate people towards the animals they rescue. They care who adopts these sweet dogs. They try to find the best homes and stands behind their adoptions. If the adopters need any help after the adoptions the organization will give advise and help.
