Causes: Employment Preparation & Procurement, Job Training, Vocational Rehabilitation
Mission: disABLEDperson, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) non-profit public foundation (charity) and tax exempt organization under section 509 (a) (1) and 170 (b) (1) (A) (vi), has a mission to reduce the extremely high unemployment rate amongst Americans with disABILITIES by providing online recruitment software known as ?recruitABILITY .? A primary goal associated with this mission is to connect Americans with any disABILITY with employers who are proactive in hiring them. We accomplish this goal through the recruitABILITY disABILITY job matching system. Under a stipulation from the IRS, all services offered by disABLEDperson Inc. are free. Employers posting jobs and individuals posting resumes are free. The fact that it is free will allow every employer regardless of size and finances to post jobs on the site therefore making it reasonable that we will become a national best of class in disABILITY recruiting.
Programs: The expansion of our microsoft imagine academy. At this writing we have 1225 people with disabilities in our academy all as a public service receiving training towards microsoft certification giving them marketable job skills. Currently, these individuals come from about 10 state departments of vocational rehabilitation with virginia coming on 1. 1. 18 and from our wounded warrior program. Our academy is offered to the states and wounded warriors free of charge.
