I have been a volunteer for disABILITySA for many years. During that time, I have seen Melanie Cawthon and her team achieve many goals to help people in the community. This year, they launced the first Mobile Changing Unit (MCU) in the nation. This is an innovative project that was much needed in the community. Congratulationss to disABILITYsa for all the good things they do!

Once upon a time I had the privilege of meeting Melanie the star of the show.
I worked at a nonprofit that gave me freedom to select and sponsor a future royal candidate.
We loved every part from fundraising to selecting attire for each event. It was the most memorable time of my life. Now I have my own nonprofit CareWarriorsInc and that was a great deal of fun as well. Many years I’ve supported Fiesta Especial and have enjoyed each moment with the candidates.

I have been a great fan of everything Melanie the founder does and who she is since she founded this organization and everything she did to get where she is now. The team she has chosen have truly the biggest hearts and work extremely hard to ensure each family gets treated as they are VIP. Each individual matters and their voices are heard. I’m extremely proud to be a volunteer and sponsor with Fiesta Especial / Disability SA for the last 5 years!

This wonderful organization not only provides resources for persons with all kinds of disabilities but they have a leadership program . The participants visit schools and other community organizations and share their story. There is also a whole day that is organized for all the schools in the area to bring their Special education classes to the fiesta fair grounds for free . It is a very memorable day for everyone. It is one of my favourite days of the year

I had the opportunity to "work" the registration table at their major fundraiser in early 2020. The CEO, Melanie Cawthon, is very caring, organized, and personable. Those attending the fundraiser included some of the persons for whom this non-profit exists, as well as many caring volunteers and, of course, those who paid the admittance fee. This event was a lot of fun with various games, refreshments, and chances to win prizes. disABILITYsa also sponsors and provides an opportunity for those groups who also service clients with varied capabilities, both physical and mental, to visit with each other in a safe, fun environment. Your donation to this non-profit will be much appreciated and used very responsibly to fulfill its Mission.

The Leadership, yes you can program is first class. My son has thrived and grown so much since he started Fiesta Especial 2019 program. Our city is so lucky to have inclusive programs like the ones DisabilitySA provides for our community.
