Mission: Provide a point of application, eligibility determination & information for those with disabilities. The organization is a community development disability organization (cddo) that provides these services for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Offices are located in salina, kansas and serve nine counties in north central kansas.
Programs: The kansas department for aging and disability services has contracted with disability planning organization of kansas (dpok) as the community developmental disability organization (cddo) for a nine-county service area; jewell, republic, mitchell, cloud, lincoln, ottawa, ellsworth, saline, and dickinson. A cddo is responsible for arranging for needed community services for individuals with qualifying intellectual or developmental disabilities who need services to live and function successfully in the community. Successful functioning is being able to participate in everyday living activities. The cddo performs initial eligibility, conducts annual funding category assessments, assists in the location services and monitors for service quality.
dpok provides services described above for four cddo's in kansas (referred to as the kansas cddo coalition).
