One of the biggest service they provide is their work in Suicide Prevention and bereavement groups. If someone has lost a fellow employee, friend or family member to suicide they are connected with other people that have struggled with the same loss. Without their services there would be a huge void in our community.

I served on the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Los Angeles for nine years and we always rated Didi Hirsch at the top of our list and, as a result, we allocated United Way funds to Didi Hirsch at the highest levels. After leaving United Way's board I joined Didi Hirsch's board and have served for thirteen years. They are making a huge difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands people.

After my father's suicide, Didi Hirsch had so much support to offer. From counseling to group meetings to monthly meetings, I was able to receive support, education, and resources to get me through the most difficult time of my life. 3 1/2 years later, I still look to Didi Hirsch for support and am so thankful for the love, care and hope that their organization has provided to me.
It's an awesome place to gain experience and learn from others already established in the field. Great environment and supportive staff.
After losing a son to suicide, I joined a Survivors after Suicide group to help work out the terrible conflicts and burdens left behind. From that experience, which I found so very helpful, my interest in Didi Hirsch grew and led to being considered for and joining the Board of Directors. For over ten years I have found my involvement to increase and my ability to help he agency grow as well. The organization threw me a lifeline and now, I hope to help usher it always into a stronger and stronger position to help those who need mental health services who would otherwise not be able to afford the vital care needed. Everyday I'm grateful to Didi Hirsch and the good work it can and does achieve.
