Working with DIBIA fits into my busy schedule. They always have several opportunities for me to be active and give back, which is what I love about working with this organization. I look forward to seeing how the organization will grow and impact the community.
When working with DIBIA it allows me to connect to my community and give back to the students in my neighborhood. Although I have recently started working with them, I feel like this organization really offers students the opportunity to build on the skills they learn in school but also allows them to experiment with new items and concepts.
As a high school student, I am required to volunteer. However, working with DIBIA never feels like a requirement it is truly an enjoyable experience. The kids are always excited to play, work on science experiments, and create paintings and other arts and crafts. DIBIA gives me the chance to connect to those around me but also to fulfill my academic responsibilities.
When I first encountered the Dibia Dream Non profit, I was totally enamored by the kids feedback. That's the whole goal right?! Witnessing the kids interaction and response to what the Dibia Dream foundation did for them was priceless. You always need that type of reaction when you put your heart into something. This nonprofit gets a A+ from me. I just hope they are able to keep up more camps and sites for the communities they impact.
Facilitators for Super Saturday programming at Overtown Youth Center & Carrolton are wonderful and make the experience unforgettable for the children.
Working with DIBIA has allowed me to positively contribute to my community and serve as a role model to students who may not always see a young successful person who comes and gives back. Volunteering hasn't just helped the students I work with but it also helps me to develop and grow into a better person.
I started working with DIBIA earlier this year and I love being able to volunteer with the organization. I get to positively impact the youth and contribute to their growth. It's definitely one of the best programs for our youth and it opens the doors for them to expand their minds and I'm glad I get to be apart of this organization.
