We've donated and volunteered with the Diaper Bank of NC for several years now. I love that we're able to help local families in such an important way--all babies need diapers, and no family should have to choose between diapers and other necessities! We've loved being able to bring our children along to wrap diapers, learn about service, and contribute to their community. Such a great volunteer experience for all ages! And the mission of the Diaper Bank of NC has only grown over the years, adding in much-needed period products and adult incontinence products. *Everyone* deserves dignity, and we're so glad to be able to help our home-grown Diaper Bank of NC make that happen.
The Diaper Bank of North Carolina is a great place to volunteer with kids of all ages. The organization provides much needed hygiene products to members of the community- everyone from babies and toddlers who need diapers, school girls who need period products, moms who need postpartum supplies, and seniors who need incontinence products. Everything they do is data-driven and based on input from recipients and program evaluation.
I've volunteered with the Diaper Bank of North Carolina for several years and joined the board last year. What I'm struck by is their consistent ability to make a huge impact with just a few staff, many volunteers, and tons of heart. It's exciting to see the organization continue to push itself to have a bigger impact, expanding from just distributing diapers to distributing dignity by also providing feminine hygiene and adult care products. I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

I started volunteering at the diaper bank after seeing one of their donation hot spot boxes at a local business. I had never heard of a diaper bank before but was so welcomed when I showed up to help. This is the only place I know of that lets volunteers of ALL AGES volunteer. There is a children's play area if little ones want to play, along with a rocking chair and diaper changing table for meeting babies' needs. There are tasks that toddlers and preschoolers can do to help, tasks that can be done sitting down, or standing up. Come volunteer on your own, with a friend, or with your family. The diaper bank also schedules times for groups to come (school, faith community, coworkers, book club, scouts, etc).
